Canthidermis sufflamen - Ocean Triggerfish
| Ocean triggerfish are almost completely grey in color except for a black spot at the base of their pectoral fins. They can grow to 2 feet in length, but are usually seen between 10 and 18 inches. Ocean triggerfish are usually found in open water above coral reefs or near drop-offs at depths between 35 and 100 feet.

| Habitat |
| Common near drop-offs of seaward reefs. Occasionally in shallow water. Solitary or in small groups in open water. Often associated with Sargassum.

| Diet |
| Feeds mainly on large zooplankton.

| Ocean triggerfish will use their tails to create a depression in the sand where they lay their eggs. They will then stay near the nest to protect their eggs from predators.
