Chromis cyanea - Blue chromis
| The blue chromis has a blue oval body and a forked tail fin with dark edges. They typically grow to 5 inches in length. Like all damselfish, male blue chromis create and defend their nests aggressively. They feed on plankton that tend to stay just above reefs and are usually found between 35 and 80 feet.

| Western Atlantic: Bermuda, southern Florida (USA), and the Caribbean Sea. Including the Bahamas, Gulf of Mexico and Antilles.

| Common above deep outer reefs.

| Feeds in aggregations of the small zooplankton, primarily copepods.
