Clepticus parrae - Creole wrasse
| Creole wrasse are various shades of purple with a dark purple band across their face just above their mouth. Individuals in the terminal phase develop yellow or reddish coloration on the back half of their bodies. Creole wrasse are capable of growing to 12 inches in length. They are found in schools on outer coral reefs and drop-offs at depths between 30 and 80 feet.

| Western Atlantic: Bermuda, southern Florida (USA), and Bahamas to northern South America.

| Habitat |
| Inhabits seaward reef slopes; occasionally on shallow patch reefs (Ref. 9710). Found in large midwater aggregations. Depth range 1 - 40 m.
|
| Diet |
| Feeds on plankton, small jellyfishes, pteropods, pelagic tunicates and various invertebrate larvae.
