The Neon goby is a very small fish that measures only 1 to 2 inches in length. It has a dark upper body with a horizontal bright blue stripe running through its eye to its tail fin, and a lighter underside. Neon gobies are usually found resting in groups on coral reefs. They are commonly found at depths between 10 and 125 feet.


Distribution, Stock Structure and Migration
Western Central Atlantic: southern Florida to Texas (USA) southward to Belize.


Habitat
Inhabits coral heads.


Diet
Removes ectoparasites from other fishes.
