Rhinesomus triqueter - Smooth trunkfish
| Smooth trunkfish have a dark body that is covered with white spots. They also have an area of pale honeycomb markings on their mid-body that develops as they mature. They are typically solitary and may be seen swimming slowly over reefs and sandy areas. Smooth trunkfish grow up to 18 inches in length and live between 15-50 feet deep.

| Western Atlantic: Canada and Massachusetts, USA to Brazil, including Bermuda, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean.

| Habitat |
| Found on coral reefs. Solitary or in small groups.

| Diet |
| Feeds on a wide variety of small bottom invertebrates such as mollusks, crustaceans, worms, sessile tunicates and sponges exposed by a jet of water ejected through the mouth.
